Behind the Scenes: Lucky’s Shelter-in-Place Family Rescue Pack

On March 24, we visited Ted Lescher, the general manager at Lucky’s Burger and Brew in Roswell to film their latest promotion, the Shelter-in-Place Family Rescue Pack.

Tired of boxed pasta yet? Liven up your next family dinner with Lucky’s Shelter-In-Place Family Rescue Pack! This ENORMOUS burger can be sliced just like a pie, enough to feed 4-10 people generously. Pick it up curbside, ready-made OR deconstructed! The pack also includes two (2) rolls of toilet paper – you know, just in case.

We encourage you to take the ingredients home and build this [absolutely ridiculous] burger together in your own kitchen! In the spirit of “forced family fun,” assign each person a different role: setting the table, frying the bacon/eggs, cooking the meat, spreading the mayo, assembling the final product, and documenting the process before you dig in! Tag us in your creations @LuckysRoswell and #LuckysFamilyRescuePackChallenge

Tonight, you can be a hero not only for your family, but for local business. From head to paw, we appreciate your continued love and support for Lucky’s at this time. Our team worked hard to make this offer possible. We hope it will bust your boredom, fill your bellies and make staying home just a little bit easier.

For $50, here’s what you’ll take home:

  • 4 lbs. of hamburger meat – enough for one (1) 4-lb burger OR ten (10) 6-oz. burgers

  • 8 slices of American cheese

  • 12 strips of applewood-smoked bacon

  • 7 eggs

  • 1 mound of onion rings with batter

  • Mayonnaise

  • 1 giant challah bun

  • 2 rolls of toilet paper (not for consumption)

Alternatively, you can fridge/freeze these items to make several meals throughout the week – all without stepping foot in a grocery store! We did the math, and the combined cost of similar ingredients at Kroger is $47.46 (only $2.54 less than our Family Rescue Pack). We hope you agree the small difference is worth it.
