Behind the Scenes: A Dream Come True at Lucky’s Burger & Brew

Our Street Team is thriving on the creative challenge of helping businesses stay in touch with their customers at home. Video marketing has once again proven to be an indispensable means of communication, and we’ve had a lot of fun pursuing ideas through the lens of each brand – notably, Lucky’s Burger & Brew.

You’ve seen every marketing team and their mother promoting curbside pickup lately, so we set Lucky’s apart by going back to basics. At the core of every great brand is something totally unique, something that an audience will immediately recognize and think, “Hey! I know THEM, and I want THAT!” and to-go orders will follow.

What better way to reinforce the pillars of Lucky’s laid-back, all-American burger brand than with an homage to cult classics, right? Two weeks ago, we filmed “Jason & Ted’s Excellent Adventure,” and this past week we experimented with a parody of “Wayne’s World” starring Ted, Chris and a dream sequence featuring yours truly.

I feel incredibly honored to have been chosen for the role of “Ms. Lucky Charming,” a.k.a the girl burying her face into the Best Doggone Burger™ (the perks of restaurant marketing never get old). Better yet, we were able to share some good news, in fact, a dream come true… Lucky’s plans to reopen very soon!

It was pretty hilarious behind the scenes. Lisa originally planned to bring her leaf blower to enhance the “dreaminess” of the sequence, but I opted to bring my personal hair dryer for a gentler breeze. While Kelsey operated the camera, Lisa held the hair dryer, and the guys pulled the doors open. I humbly admit it took no more than five takes for me to get the wink right. But Ted and Chris were naturals on screen, they got it in just one! **Shoutout to Kelsey for the fantastic job shooting and editing.**
